Job Description: Provide leadership, coaching and day‑to‑day supervision to the Client Static Data team, ensuring high quality, accurate and timely delivery of BAU activities. Oversee post client onboarding client profile setup, ensuring account opening and related procedures are performed in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Manage end‑to‑end client account maintenance, including customer profile changes (e.g. client information updates, changes of directors/authorized signers) in core proprietary systems and downstream platforms. Review and approve data input for account opening, static data maintenance and standing settlement instructions (SSI), ensuring robust maker–checker controls. Act as key point of contact for Business Units and Compliance, providing timely responses to queries and guidance on client static data and documentation requirements. Take ownership for the preparation and filing of annual client tax reports (e.g. FATCA and CRS), ensuring underlying client static data is accurate, complete and aligned with tax and regulatory requirements. Maintain a strong understanding of upstream/downstream systems and execution platforms, ensuring data flows are controlled, consistent and well documented. Own and enhance the client data lifecycle: from sourcing and capturing data from appropriate golden sources, to validation, classification and operation of controls that optimize quality and maximize coverage. Oversee legal entity creation and modification, and manage the clearing of data quality exceptions through independent external research and stakeholder coordination. Lead remediation of data issues and gaps to ensure client data is complete, accurate and fit for purpose for all consuming processes in line with firm standards and policies. Coordinate extraction and management of client data to support ad hoc requests, including internal/external compliance queries, regulatory requests and data migration projects. Drive continuous improvement by reviewing workflows, identifying process and control enhancements, and implementing best practices and automation where appropriate. Lead or represent the team in projects and change initiatives, including requirements definition, test case writing, UAT execution, system enhancements and migrations. Oversee physical and electronic document management, ensuring proper filing, completeness of client documentation, and effective follow‑up with Front Office to obtain missing information. Prepare management reporting and KPIs on team performance, data quality metrics and control outcomes, and escalate issues in a timely and transparent manner Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. Min 8 years’ extensive operations experience in a bank or securities firm, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong, hands‑on knowledge of client onboarding, account opening and client reference/static data processes. Solid understanding of FATCA/CRS/QI and other client due diligence and regulatory requirements is highly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential; experience with Python and/or VBA is a strong advantage. Proven track record in data quality management, process improvement and control design within an operations environment. Excellent attention to detail, with a diligent, analytical and well‑organized working style. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities under pressure, and be willing to work overtime when required. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with Front Office, Compliance, Operations and Technology. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
