What's On Offer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced operational leader to join us as our Operations Manager – Knock Down Rebuild & Dual Occupancy.

As a key member of the Victorian Operations Leadership Team, you will lead a large team, driving operational excellence across one of the most specialised and complex segments of the residential building industry.

Responsible for leading the seamless transition of customers from sales through to site commencement, you will ensure every project is delivered with speed, accuracy and an exceptional customer experience. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and suppliers, you'll identify opportunities to improve workflows, build leadership capability within your team and deliver sustainable business improvements.

This is a highly visible leadership role that combines strategic thinking, people leadership, customer experience excellence and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach and develop Team Managers and broader team, creating an engaged and customer focused culture
  • Build leadership capability, succession pathways and future talent within the team
  • Drive workflow best practices and operational efficiency across the pre-construction journey
  • Monitor and improve pre-construction timeframes, productivity and service delivery metrics
  • Lead workforce planning and resource management activities
  • Partner with Sales, Drafting, Estimating, Building and other teams to improve customer and business outcomes
  • Lead change initiatives and support the successful implementation of new processes and ways of working
  • Provide reporting, insights and recommendations to support operational performance and decision making

What you'll Bring

  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams through leaders in a fast paced environment
  • Strong people leadership experience, with a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing future leaders
  • Demonstrated success leading change and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong workflow management, planning and problem solving capability
  • Experience analysing performance metrics and implementing data driven improvements
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, resilience and self-awareness
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with rapid execution, driving operational performance and continuous improvement in a fast-moving environment
  • Residential building and construction experience is essential, with exposure to Knock Down Rebuild and Dual Occupancy highly regarded.
