Position: Operations Manager- Administrative Services

Responsibilities
  • Lead the administrative operations portfolio for multiple Safari Kid early learning centres, setting objectives and workflows for enrolment processing, finance, HR, purchasing and records so that every location meets company service standards and regulatory timelines.
  • Supervise and mentor a cross functional team of centre administrators, finance clerks and HR coordinators, assigning duties, providing technical guidance, conducting performance reviews and scheduling skills development sessions.
  • Establish and oversee governance and compliance systems that satisfy the Child Care and Early Years Act, privacy legislation, health and safety requirements and corporate policies; act as primary liaison during licensing inspections or audits.
  • Plan, administer and control annual and project specific budgets, approving expenditures for staffing, facility leases, classroom resources, technology and insurance; negotiate and manage vendor contracts to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Design implement and audit digital and paper record‑keeping systems covering student attendance, fee payments, payroll, and supplier transactions ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality and readiness for internal or external review.
  • Prepareanalytical reports, KPI dashboards and briefing notes for senior management and board committees, highlighting operational performance, risk exposures and strategic recommendations.
  • Direct full cycle recruitment and on boarding for administrative and support personnel, drafting job descriptions and arranging ongoing professional development programs aligned with Safari Kid’s educational philosophy.
  • Control inventory and purchasing logistics for classroom materials, nutrition supplies, PPE and office equipment, using bulk buy strategies to maintain optimal stock levels across all centres.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives such as process mapping, quality assurance reviews and parent satisfaction surveys, driving measurable gains in service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as escalation point for centre directors on complex administrative issues, providing timely resolutions that uphold company policies and protect the interests of children, families and staff.
    Education: Completion of a Bachelors Degree
    Work Experience: 2-3 years experience in the relevant field is required.
