QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within commercial trades or facilities services
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more core service areas: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead our facility maintenance operations. This role oversees a substantial operation with 8–12 direct reports and a total team of 90 operations employees, responsible for $15 million in current annual revenue, with a strategic mandate to increase operations to $30 million. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Oversee daily operations of commercial service divisions (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry).
  • Drive strategic growth initiatives to scale operations from $15M to $30M in revenue.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop 8-12 Team Managers.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of service calls and projects.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of service.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and provide quick, effective solutions.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer satisfaction among 90 operations employees.
