Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the delivery of strategic asset maintenance management, compliance, and lifecycle performance across a key national infrastructure portfolio. This is a highly client-facing role, working across both BGIS Sydney Head Office and a major client site in Ultimo. The environment is fast-paced and highly engaged, requiring someone who is confident, composed, and able to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Reporting across the Account Manager, you will play a key role in shaping asset maintenance strategy, supporting compliance outcomes, and helping drive continuous improvement across operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate is calm, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and confident working with a range of stakeholders. You enjoy bringing structure to complexity, building trusted relationships, and contributing to solutions that improve outcomes over time. Key Responsibilities * Support delivery of asset maintenance strategy and compliance across a multi-site portfolio  * Analyse asset condition data, lifecycle planning, and maintenance backlogs  * Ensure compliance obligations are met in line with contractual and regulatory requirements  * Support operational teams with the implementation of maintenance initiatives and improvements  * Work closely with Finance to support accurate reporting, budgeting, and expenditure tracking  * Help strengthen asset management frameworks and system processes  * Engage with client stakeholders to support alignment, communication, and service delivery outcomes  * Contribute to ongoing improvements in operational performance and service quality  Education, Experience & Skills Essential: * Experience in facilities management, property, or integrated services environments  * Experience working with subcontractors and operational service teams  * Understanding of technical legislation relating to building and facilities maintenance  * Experience supporting compliance and asset maintenance activities  * Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills  * Tertiary qualification in Property, Business, Commerce, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)  Desirable: * Experience with multi-site portfolios or complex operational environments  * Familiarity with CMMS systems and asset data reporting  * Additional qualifications in Facilities Management or Project Management  Workplace Flexibility This role is based between BGIS Sydney CBD Head Office and a key client site in Ultimo, with a 50/50 split.
