Description CKD USA is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day factory operations and own production planning & scheduling for our Austin Manufacturing team. You’ll guide Purchasing, Customer Support, and Warehouse teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure our commitments on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. to join . Responsibilities Optimizes the production process by creating and managing the production schedule to meet demand, cost, and quality targets Plan daily schedules, allocate people and resources, and remove bottlenecks to meet customer commitments. Supervise and support the Purchasing, Customer Support and Warehouse functions. Coach and develop the team (supervisors/leads/operators); drive engagement, training, and performance. Partner with Production, Quality and Engineering to sustain high first-pass yield, resolve issues, and standardize best practices. Oversee and support material flow and inventory accuracy so kits/parts are at point-of-use when needed. Lead continuous improvement to simplify processes, reduce waste, and improve throughput and predictability. Track and report key metrics (e.g., yield, schedule attainment, productivity) and drive corrective actions. Support new product introductions and controlled changes with clear communication and documentation. Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Facilities, Engineering, Finance and HR to align priorities and solve problems. Manage overtime and operating expenses responsibly while maintaining customer service and team wellbeing. Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Experience and Skills: 5+ years in manufacturing operations with 2+ years leading supervisors/leads in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and production reporting tools. Experience in Great Plaines Dynamics and Monday.com a plus. Strong data orientation (Excel/Sheets, KPIs, dashboards) and decision-making under time pressure. Bilingual in Japanese a plus. Excellent communication and coaching skills; proven ability to build teams and drive accountability across shifts. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (or ISO 13485/AS9100) requirements. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret production reports, technical procedures, manuals, and regulations. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to work well in a team and/or individually. Work effectively with a multinational team. Ability to write business reports and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts related to production. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and measurements furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule format. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience). Physical & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally; mix of office and manufacturing-floor presence with varying noise levels.
