The Opportunity
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for leading safe, efficient, and customer-focused site operations at Wingfield. You'll drive operational performance, optimise resources, lead a high-performing team, and ensure compliance while supporting continued business growth.

Responsibilities Include
- Provide visible safety leadership and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop operational teams to foster a high-performing, engaged, and safety-focused culture.
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and service excellence to achieve business objectives and customer expectations.
- Manage departmental budgets, cost controls, and resource allocation to optimise financial performance.
- Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to support tender submissions, customer solutions, and business growth opportunities.
- Act as the primary operational contact for customer enquiries, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee equipment utilisation, operational planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site performance.

Your Experience and capabilities
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within transport, logistics, manufacturing, waste management, or an industrial environment.
- Demonstrated track record of leading and developing operational teams while building a strong safety culture.
- Experience managing operational budgets, cost control initiatives, and performance improvement programs.
- Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements, including hazardous materials or dangerous goods operations.
- Ability to drive operational efficiencies, optimise resources, and improve service delivery against key performance targets.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and customer relationship skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to prioritise and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in chemical waste, manufacturing, or hazardous logistics.
