POSITION SUMMARY:

Clearsite Industrial is seeking a hands-on, highly organized Operations Manager to oversee daily dispatch, field operations, and fleet coordination for our vacuum excavation services. This leadership role supports our field crews, ensures operational efficiency, and reinforces a strong culture of safety and performance. Reporting directly to the Vice President, the Operations Manager plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction, team productivity, and equipment readiness.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior supervisory or dispatch experience in construction, vacuum excavation, underground utility, or fleet management
  • Valid CDL (preferred) and working mechanical knowledge of trucks/equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage shifting field demands
  • Proven track record of safety leadership and team collaboration
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with scheduling and dispatch systems
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in all conditions, and wear PPE

Responsibilities
  • Dispatch operators and vacuum trucks to job sites daily
  • Coordinate project schedules and mobilization of equipment
  • Provide field support and perform excavation duties when necessary
  • Supervise fleet and equipment maintenance, safety inspections, and inventory
  • Review and verify daily job tickets, operator timesheets, and DOT logs
  • Conduct field safety audits and routine safety meetings
  • Lead onboarding and training of new field personnel
  • Communicate regularly with clients and collaborate with Account Managers on job executionSupport business development through customer service and proposal input
