Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager works with the Supervisors and Production teams to lead day-to-day activities to deliver quality products to customers on time. The Operations Manager is required to mentor and assist teams with removing any roadblocks that may come up while ensuring high quality. The Manager works cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Management, and HR to ensure the product is delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Together with operational staff, participate in the definition and implementation of the operational roadmap according to the objectives of the scope
  • Propose and manage the allocated budget.
  • Lead and support implementation of the Group’s operational program and ensure its promotion.
  • Advise, train and support operational teams on the facilitation and use of operational excellence tools (Standards, Kaizen toolbox)
  • Contribute to the improvement of organizations, procedures and processes.
  • Perform maturity assessments on other scopes (coordinator)
  • Coordinate the network to establish exchanges and synergies.
  • Organize events to cross-reference good practices between the sites in their area of attachment.
  • Manage the team in hierarchical responsibility by managing load/capacity, assisting them in their assignments in order to promote their skills development
  • Ensure regular communication on deployment and events related to the production program.

Profile and other information related to the position

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Management, or other related field required
  • Minimum 8 years experience in managing production programs and employees
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently required in order to perform the job
  • Experience with SAP software preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and Lean manufacturing preferred
  • Aerospace background preferred
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Programs
  • Working knowledge and experience applying World Class Manufacturing (WCM) processes
  • Six Sigma experience preferred
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
