We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations in our Lake Charles market. This role is responsible for overseeing personnel, customer service, fleet coordination, inventory management, safety compliance, and overall operational performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can drive results, improve processes, and support the continued growth of the business. Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of day-to-day operations within the Lake Charles market. This individual will lead operational teams, ensure customer expectations are met, maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and drive efficiency across all aspects of the operation. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience managing employees in a fast-paced environment, and a proven ability to improve operational performance while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Operations Management • Oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficient and timely service delivery. • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to increase productivity and efficiency. • Develop and maintain operational procedures and best practices. • Coordinate resources, equipment, personnel, and scheduling to meet customer demands. • Identify and resolve operational challenges before they impact customers or business performance. Team Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop operations personnel. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support. • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives. • Ensure staffing levels adequately support business needs. Customer Service • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. • Address customer concerns and ensure issues are resolved promptly and professionally. • Partner with sales and leadership teams to support customer retention and growth initiatives. • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through operational excellence. Safety & Compliance • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures. • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and company regulations. • Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits as required. • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary. • Maintain accurate operational and compliance records. Fleet & Asset Management • Coordinate fleet utilization, maintenance schedules, and equipment readiness. • Monitor operational assets to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. • Work closely with maintenance vendors and internal stakeholders to address equipment needs. Financial & Administrative Oversight • Monitor operational expenses and assist with budget management. • Review operational metrics and prepare reports for leadership. • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. • Support inventory management and operational controls. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum 5 years of operations management, logistics, transportation, fuel, energy, industrial services, or related experience. • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and operational processes. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed. Preferred • Experience in fuel distribution, lubricants, transportation, logistics, or energy services. • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements. • Experience with fleet management and operational reporting. • Background in budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
