Duties/Responsibilities: • Direct, supervise, lead and manage team to ensure operational efficiencies and excellent service to customers. • Responsible for scheduling staff to cover shifts and delegate tasks to ensure materials are prepped and ready for shipping schedule. • Conduct employment interviews and work with HR to ensure departments are fully staffed. • Ensure that each employee has the right training and skills for safe operation of equipment. • Leads team in overall safety procedures and practices. • Ensures production and quality KPIs are met. • Ensures equipment repairs are reported accordingly to minimize downtime. • Monitor and adhere to operations budget. • Is the subject matter expert for Ferrous and Non Ferrous Operations. Preferred Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • 5+ years knowledge of ferrous and non ferrous metals and scrap yard management. • 5+ years production supervisory experience and customer service experience in a fast-paced environment required. • Excellent knowledge of operations, leadership, analytical, communication and computer skills. • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems; deal with many variables and determine a specific course of action. • Forklift, skid steer and material handler experience. Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will direct, supervise, and lead the team to ensure operational efficiencies and excellent customer service, while being responsible for staff scheduling and task delegation to prepare materials for shipping. This role also involves ensuring all employees are properly trained for safe equipment operation and leading team safety procedures.
