Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has become available within our Care and Support Services Unit for an experienced senior leader to join us as Operations Manager.
In this key leadership role, you will report to the Executive Manager and take responsibility for the day-to-day operations and strategic oversight of multiple NDIS-funded disability support programs. You will play a vital role in driving service excellence, strengthening workforce capability, maintaining compliance, and achieving positive outcomes for participants across various sites and programs.
You will lead a high-performing team and actively contribute to strategic planning, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, sustainable, and person-centred services.

The key duties in this role will include:

  • Provide strategic advice and governance support to the Executive Manager.
  • Oversee site operations, ensuring program and participant outcomes are consistently achieved.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality and Safeguarding Framework to ensure compliance.
  • Undertake financial modelling with the Disability Services Finance Officer to design cost-effective service models.
  • Monitor rosters for compliance with Awards and industry standards.
  • Implement and manage WHS and risk systems, including hazard reporting and use of Centacare’s Worker Safety Application (WSA).

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or extensive experience in the disability services sector.
  • Significant experience in managing service provision in accordance with the compliance requirements of the NDIS
  • Proven ability to make high-level decisions, exercise independent judgement and initiative under broad direction
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to consider and review data, audits and evidence to facilitate ongoing improvement of programs and initiatives
  • Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions based on an analysis of risk and business needs
  • Significant experience in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of policies
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership, manage change, motivate and inspire others to achieve objectives
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to lead, develop and manage a large geographically diverse team
