JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to effectively coordinate all day to day operations of a small domiciliary care branch in Chesterfield. The company consists of a co ordinator and hard working team of carers that provide care to our elderly clients in the community.
The company is looking for potential growth and expansion and are therefore looking for someone with care and domcare experience who will report directly to the business owner. You will be responsible for running the day to day of the branch, its direction and growth, appraisals, disciplinaries and an ability to remain calm under pressure.

SKILLS

  • Experience in driving company forward with searching for new clients
  • Strong background in senior care management is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer’s care practices is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with prior supervising experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan development is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
  • NVQ Level 5 or willing to work towards

  • Oversee the daily operations , ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for residents and staff.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, focusing on both physical and emotional well-being.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high standard of care.
  • Supervise nursing staff and caregivers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies including CQC
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care, including medication administration and treatment plans.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance for auditing purposes.
