HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

• Monitoring and adhering to site Health & Safety including equipment and use whilst meeting company objectives with respect to safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale and environment.
• Provide leadership and management direction for all local line and staff personnel consistent with the Strategic Business objectives of DP World.
• Advises and trains first line managers and staff of company policy regarding team supervision, customer interface and interacting with staff representatives where necessary.
• Support the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law and local governing bodies.
• Actively support all lean initiatives, such as 5S, standardised work, people involvement.
• Developing and improving operational processes
• Effective communication, understanding and response to all our customers and suppliers
• Internal/external stakeholder management
• Compiling data using spreadsheets and production and delivery of presentations
• Progress tracking & report compiling
• Effective delegation of tasks to the team, setting SMART objectives and goals
• Ensuring order and cleanliness in areas of responsibility
• Undertake Disciplinary and Grievance processes including investigations and Grievance and Disciplinary Hearings.
• KPI adherence & continuous improvement
• Quality and Control checks

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our team in Minworth/Birmingham. The Operations Manager will plan, direct and oversees DP World’s operational policies, rules and goals.
