We are currently seeking an experienced Manager – Operations to join our Contract Logistics team, based in Western Suburbs. In this key leadership role, you will manage the profitable and timely coordination of distribution and transport activities for warehousing and customer products. You will lead operational teams to deliver strong productivity, customer service and safety outcomes while managing resources, labour and equipment costs in line with business requirements.
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required during peak periods to support operational needs.
· Lead and manage daily operations to meet productivity, volume throughput, service level and operational performance targets.
· Manage workforce productivity, labour costs, equipment running costs, resource allocation and leave to ensure operations remain efficient and within budget.
· Provide leadership, coaching and performance management for direct reports, while fostering employee engagement and a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
· Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, Security and Environment policies, procedures, legislation and site requirements, including hazard, incident and corrective action management.
· Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring operational requests are prioritised, resolved promptly and delivered in line with customer requirements and SLAs.
· Drive continuous improvement across operational processes, warehousing practices, team capability and customer service outcomes.
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in a 3PL fulfilment warehousing environment in a management or leadership role.
· Extensive people leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to engage teams, develop culture and drive process improvement; Yellow Belt experience is desirable.
· Sound understanding of warehousing and logistics practices, including strong knowledge of WMS and the ability to support and train employees in its use.
· Strong knowledge of WHS requirements and obligations, with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
· Proven problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
· Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Warehousing or Supply Chain are preferred.
