POSITION SUMMARY:

Harbour Sixty is seeking a highly organized and dynamic Operations Manager – Events & Banquets to oversee the seamless execution of all private and large-format events. Acting as the critical link between our Sales and Operations teams, this individual will be responsible for ensuring flawless coordination, staffing, and service delivery in line with our reputation for excellence.This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage event logistics, maintain high service standards, and build lasting relationships with both guests and internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a management role within high-end hospitality, preferably in events, banquets, or restaurant operations.
  • Strong understanding of BEOs, event logistics, and front-of-house service standards.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable managing teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve with grace and efficiency.
  • A guest-first mindset with a strong sense of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Flexible schedule — must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event needs.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Sales team and Operations team, ensuring clear communication and flawless execution of all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Lead pre-event coordination meetings and ensure all event details are accurately relayed to service, culinary, and support teams.
  • Oversee day-of-event operations, ensuring proper staffing, setup, timing, and service flow.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure food is expedited and served in a timely and organized manner.
  • Schedule, and manage event service staff as needed, ensuring the right team is in place for each function.
  • Be a visible presence during events, supporting the team on the floor and engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction and encourage future bookings.
  • Anticipate and resolve any operational issues that arise during events with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of service standards and event protocols, in keeping with Harbour Sixty’s commitment to excellence.
  • Maintain event-related inventory and ensure proper setup and breakdown of event spaces.
