On behalf of our international client (they operate top-category restaurants) we are looking for an operations / general manager who is going to ensure that the restaurant maintains its high standards of service and continues to provide an exceptional dining experience for its guests.
At our esteemed client, they don’t just craft exquisite dishes; they create memorable experiences. As part of their distinguished team, you will collaborate with world-class chefs in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Overseeing the daily operations: Ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly, from the kitchen to the dining area
Hiring, training, and scheduling staff (app. 14 FTE – assistant managers, waiters, runners, sommelier ) to maintain high performance standards
Analyzing financial reports to optimize profitability and implementing cost control measures
Addressing customer complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction
Coordinating with chefs to design and update menus, ensuring quality and consistency of food and beverages
Monitoring inventory and managing budgets to control costs
Ensuring the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations
Implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain customers
Planning and overseeing special events
Conducting regular staff meetings to address performance, training needs, and customer feedback
Lead by example and maintain a positive work environment to keep staff motivated, productive, and engaged
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven track record as a general manager / operations manager - particularly in fine dining establishments
Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team
Fluent in English, native Hungarian is required
A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business management, or a related field is a huge plus
Financial Acumen: understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization
