This is a senior, hands-on role, reporting directly to the Director of Kitchens, with full accountability for the smooth running, efficiency, and performance of our production, logistics, and maintenance operations.
Your Impact as Operations Manager
You’ll be at the heart of our factory leadership, ensuring output meets both our quality promise and customer deadlines, while driving continuous improvement across all functions. Your leadership will directly shape the success of our operations and help fuel our continued growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee and optimise production schedules, ensuring targets are met and high standards maintained.
  • Ensure accurate, on-time dispatch of goods and seamless operational flow across departments.
  • Introduce and embed quality control procedures at all stages of production.
  • Monitor performance KPIs including productivity, downtime, quality, waste, and cost – using data to drive improvements.
  • Manage plant and equipment maintenance, including proactive servicing and compliance.
  • Create and implement preventative maintenance schedules in collaboration with internal teams and third-party contractors.
  • Maintain tooling levels and equipment readiness to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams – fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture.
  • Promote and enforce a robust health, safety, and environmental compliance programme.
  • Support the introduction of new machinery, processes, and layout improvements.
  • Work closely with other departments (Sales, Procurement, Customer Services, Retail) to ensure a seamless end-to-end process and customer experience.
  • Plan resources, capacity and team capabilities in line with future business growth.
  • Keep clear and compliant records, including audits, risk assessments, and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in an operations or production management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in production planning, equipment maintenance, logistics, and people management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build, inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with plant and equipment maintenance systems, including preventative programmes.
  • A data-driven mindset, confident using Microsoft Excel, performance metrics and KPIs to drive improvement.
  • Working knowledge of health & safety standards in manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to kitchen, joinery, furniture or similar high-spec manufacturing environments.
  • Experience introducing new production technology or plant layout redesign.
  • Proficiency with ERP or manufacturing systems.
  • A production manager looking to take the next step in their career.
