The Upex Group is seeking a friendly and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Oxford!
The role is to provide both logistical and hands-on daily management of our exclusive building in the heart of Oxford, which regularly host a wide range of events, including conference meetings, weddings & social occasions.
Location: Oxford
Salary: £41,600.00 PA
Hours: 37 Hours PW (extra holiday days & benefits)
Days of work: Monday to Friday (one day working remotely)
Hours of Work: Daytime hours with occasional evenings / weekends when required

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the building & facilities, ensuring high levels of safety and high standards at all times
  • Working directly with the General Manager to improve service delivery & financial targets
  • Leading all staff and providing training and guidance in all activities undertaken
  • Ensuring the facility is adequately staffed at all times, with the flexibility to cover operational staff shifts if required
  • Ensure Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and Safe Systems of work
  • Deputising for the General Manager as and when needed

OTHER DUTIES;

  • Working with the General Manager and Sales and Events Manager to achieve centre financial targets and KPI’s.
  • Ensuring all staffing levels & weekly rota’s are within the budget set
  • Performance management of team members (15+) including daily delegation of various departmental staff
  • Recruitment and retention of team members.
    We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a proven track record in a management capacity of working in a busy leisure or hospitality venue/facility. In addition, having a clear understanding of facility operations and requirements with managing high profile facilities.
