ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Industrial Operations Manager leads and manages the day-to-day industrial operations of the site, ensuring efficient coordination, presentation, remarketing and disposal of industrial assets, plant, machinery and equipment.

This role owns operational performance across auctions, logistics, client liaison, safety, compliance and team leadership - with a strong focus on operational efficiency, risk management and commercial outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Milperra, NSW (relocating to Yennora, NSW in February 2027).

Main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and deliver all scheduled industrial and general equipment auctions, including liaison with Sales teams on incoming equipment and follow-up with Sales and Administration on online/onsite auction execution
  • Lead and task yard reports to ensure deadlines and KPIs are met
  • Develop remarketing strategies to maximise financial outcomes, partnering with Marketing on advertising campaigns
  • Manage client and vendor relationships, including proposals, agency agreements, reserves, signatures and regular reporting
  • Support auction estimates and valuations, including off-site as required
  • Coordinate transport contractors for asset collection on behalf of clients, vendors and collection teams
  • Drive buyer engagement and competitive bidding, and negotiate auction referrals between buyers and vendors
  • Lead operational and safety meetings, championing a proactive WHS culture and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policy.

ABOUT YOU

To excel in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven staff management and strong leadership skills demonstrating calm, confident and mature approach with strong decision-making ability
  • Previous operations management experience, ideally in auction, industrial or logistics environments with a sound knowledge of trucks, machinery, plant and industrial equipment
  • Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills with an engaging manner across internal and external working relationships
  • Organised, responsive, time and deadline focused
  • Good computer (MS Office, CRM) and research skills
  • Current driver’s licence required; heavy/medium/combination licence desirable but not essential
  • WHS focus with a commitment to consistency and improvement
