Position Summary:

The Junior Operations Manager will play a key role in daily logistics coordination, fleet utilization, customer satisfaction, internal team leadership and company growth. This is a high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure, demanding environment and is looking to grow within the transportation industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of cross-border dry van trucks to ensure optimal utilization and on-time delivery.
- Secure daily shipments for non-dedicated lanes, maintain strong carrier and customer relationships, and ensure all trucks remain active with freight.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, manage expectations, and resolve any service-related issues.
-Communicate with drivers to relay load details, address concerns, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
-Supervise and support office staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing guidance where needed.
-Monitor and respond to multiple high-volume emails and calls, prioritize urgent communications, and delegate tasks effectively.
- Address and resolve day-to-day issues quickly, making decisions with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
-Proactively identify new business opportunities, assist in securing new clients or lanes, and contribute to the company’s growth strategy.

-Assist with special projects, reporting, and any other operational duties as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications:
2+ years experience in logistics, operations, or transportation management preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with TMS systems, eManifest systems, Gmail and Excel
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Leadership potential and interest in long-term career growth

Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian trucking regulations is a plus
