POSITION SUMMARY:

New Creations Houston is looking for a skilled and motivated Operations Manager & Lead Technician to oversee day-to-day operations while actively performing restoration and repair work in the field. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in craftsmanship, and is ready to lead by example.

OPERATIONS MANAGER & LEAD TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in surface restoration, refinishing, cabinetry, or surface repair. (additional Automative experience preferred)
  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred (formal or informal).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in fieldwork.
  • Ability to manage schedules, communicate with clients, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable using smartphone/tablet apps for job documentation and scheduling.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on restoration services including furniture repair, surface refinishing, and minor structural or cosmetic touch-ups in residential and commercial settings.
  • Manage daily operations including job scheduling, materials coordination, and customer follow-ups.
  • Assist with meeting with clients and developing organic leads to ensure inflow of work.
  • Conduct administrative work for the business to keep up with Target Lead Lists
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients on-site, ensuring work quality and professionalism reflect New Creations’ standards.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians to improve technical skills and consistency.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle organization to support safe and efficient field operations.
  • Order and track inventory for common repair materials and supplies.
  • Document job details, before/after photos, and material usage accurately for invoicing and quality control.
  • Respond to service issues or rework needs with urgency and professionalism.
  • Contribute to operational improvements and help scale field capacity as the company grows.
