Operations Manager Manufacturing (m/w/d)

We are looking for an Operations Manager Manufacturing (m/f/d) at our Visp location.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing production facilities and manufacturing pharmaceutical-chemical products. Your main task will be the timely and cost-effective production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), while adhering to legal regulations regarding safety, quality, and the environment.

Your tasks:

  • Responsibility for the timely, high-quality and cost-efficient production of the assigned products in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines regarding safety, quality and the environment.
  • Conducting risk analyses to ensure quality and safety during the production process.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of production performance.
  • Coordination of cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals such as efficiency and delivery reliability.
  • Promoting an efficient and successful working environment as well as effective communication with team members from different departments and customers.
  • Adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Your requirements profile:

  • Completed studies (PhD, Master) in the field of chemical or process engineering.
  • Several years of professional experience in chemical and/or pharmaceutical production are desirable.
  • Knowledge of GMP and business management skills are advantageous.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proactive and flexible work style with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and to continuously develop oneself.
