Description:

Logistics UK is looking for an Operations Manager to support our auditing team and uphold the highest industry standards during this maternity cover period (1 year fixed term).
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred Qualifications: Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage and/or Passenger Transport (not essential).
- Audit Experience: Prior experience in industry-relevant auditing.
- Standards Knowledge: Understanding of ISO9001, DVSA Earned Recognition, and QA standards (preferred).
- Quality Monitoring: Experience in working with a quality monitoring framework.
- Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
- Leadership: Excellent influencing and team management skills.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Support: Assist the Head of Tacho and Audits & Standards in delivering high-quality audits and standards.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and coach the team to achieve departmental targets and align with Logistics UK’s strategy.
- Customer-Centric Development: Understand customer needs to develop and refine the audit portfolio for various sectors.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent and high-standard delivery of audits, maintaining all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Product Development: Lead the development and implementation of new and existing compliance products.
- Audit Reporting: Ensure all audit reports are submitted within agreed SLAs.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and refine departmental policies, processes, and procedures for optimal efficiency.
- KPI Management: Assist in producing departmental KPIs, including utilisation metrics.
- Standard Compliance: Operate within Logistics UK’s defined audit standards while upholding core values: Excellence, Dynamism, Togetherness, Reputation.
