We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Manager to join our operations and management team at McCausland Airport Parking. This is a hands-on role, working closely with senior management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the business. As part of the leadership team, you and your colleagues will be responsible for overseeing staff performance, managing processes, supporting customer service excellence, and ensuring all operational standards are met. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective running of the car park while supporting both staff and management in achieving business goals.
Key Responsibilities

Management & Operational Duties:

  • Ensure staffing levels are met daily and follow up on absences.
  • Oversee team performance and uniform standards.
  • Liaise with departmental supervisors to resolve operational issues (vehicles, keys, equipment).
  • Conduct regular audits and checks (quarterly, bi-weekly, monthly).
  • Monitor and respond to emails and calls promptly.
  • Support car park, valet, and workshop teams when required.
  • Arrange and monitor waste management, skip collections, and site maintenance.

HR Duties:

  • Manage recruitment processes (advertising, interviewing, onboarding, inductions).
  • Monitor lateness, absence, and contracted hours via Sling.
  • Maintain personnel files and staff lists.
  • Conduct disciplinaries, issue letters of concern, and maintain accurate HR records.
  • Coordinate staff training and system access.

Administrative Duties:

  • Prepare weekly Sling wage reports and maintain staff rotas for 60 - 80 staff members.
  • Track and order uniforms, stationery, and consumables.
  • Complete monthly price comparisons, stock takes, and equipment checks.
  • Log and monitor company vehicle defects with the workshop.
  • Ensure pest control schedules are followed.
  • Complete ad hoc administrative tasks assigned by Directors.

Customer Service & Complaints Handling:

  • Investigate and resolve vehicle damage complaints.
  • Handle general queries and complaints.
  • Provide professional support via phone and email, ensuring a high standard of service.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in an operations, management, or assistant management role.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident handling HR matters including recruitment, disciplinaries, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills with both staff and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
