Description **Location MexSteel OpCo – Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico Summary: The Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the manufacturing process at our facility in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, ensuring efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness while adhering to safety and regulatory standards on all shifts of production. Essential Functions: Maintain high standards of manufacturing operations, product quality, reliability, financial results, and safety. Provides directions to personnel regarding operations protocol, procedure, and scheduling. Directs general operations and assures adherence to good business practices across all shifts of production. Measures and reviews the performance of the company and reports the performance to the President and General Manager. Ensures that organizational policies are properly understood, interpreted, and administered uniformly by representative subordinates. Ensures that all operating systems and production function as required to meet all customer needs. Maintains high levels of on-time customer delivery performance while keeping inventory at or below target. Drives continuous improvement of company profits through cost reductions, improved methods of operation, and quality control by staying abreast of operational trends and developments for applications. Evaluate and implement improved techniques using Six Sigma and KPS methodologies. Including, but not limited to, primary management systems for Power Centers, Power Bases, and Compass Rooms for cost implementation project management. Improve operating profits by continually evaluating and implementing cost-effective capacity and staffing strategies. Create a positive work environment with open and honest communication. Communicate with the right things at the right time and often. Professionally represents the organization in its relationships with customers, sales representation agencies, suppliers, commercial and investment bankers, government agencies, professional societies, and similar groups. Manages sub-function representatives as direct reports who have a functional reporting relationship to core plant functions. Manage and ensure compliance with priorities for product security activities. Review and take action on key product security metrics. Ensure and actively participate in the development, goal setting, and performance reviews of all employees. Travel requirements: Must maintain ability to travel to SteelMation in Del Rio, TX, US company headquarters, MexSteel OpCo in Mexico and to customer/supplier locations anywhere in the world as required and needed. Participates in company technical and financial reviews as required. Oversee all shifts of production. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Additional work hours as needed and required. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements 1. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization. 2. Strong ability to analyze business issues, develop corrective actions, and follow through to completion. 3. Ability to plan and prioritize work and business schedules while dealing with day-to-day changes and interruptions. 4. Ability to deal with factors not easily evaluated, interpret results, exercise exceptional judgment, and make responsible decisions. 5. Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, master’s degree preferred, or equivalent 7 years’ work experience in a leadership role. 6. Strong knowledge of quality requirements. 7. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English. 8. Previous Operations experience required. 9. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applicable software tools/databases 10. Ability to manage projects and support multiple priorities required, encompassing the ability to make good business decisions quickly. Preferred: 1. Minimum 7 years of progressive experience with proven leadership.
