Description

Lead and manage the day-to-day performance of the Procurement, Transport and Warehouse teams.
Develop and implement a procurement strategy that supports stock availability, supplier performance, cost control and operational resilience.
Ensure goods are purchased, received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched efficiently and accurately.
Monitor delivery performance, order fulfilment, stock availability and operational capacity, taking action where service levels are at risk.
Manage costs across Procurement, Transport and Warehouse operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary spend.
Manage supplier performance, including pricing, lead times, service levels, quality, availability and compliance documentation.
Ensure relevant regulations, internal procedures and compliance requirements are followed across all areas of responsibility.
Maintain appropriate operational records, checks and documentation for audit and management review.
Work closely with Quality, Health & Safety and Compliance to ensure required standards are maintained.
Identify risks, bottlenecks and opportunities for continuous improvement, automation and process simplification.
Lead, coach and develop team members, promoting accountability, teamwork and problem solving.
Monitor operational performance and KPIs and take appropriate action to improve performance.
Work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Services, Finance and other departments to support customer service and wider business requirements.
