Operations Manager

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager ‑ Resistive Heating, you will collaborate with several internal and external stakeholders and help ensure the quality of operation and day-to-day activities on our Crystal Lake Warehouse and shop site (Delta-Therm).

Key Responsibilities:

  • General: Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • ERP System: Take ownership of ERP system issues, ensure timely and effective resolutions, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Human resources: Manage 4 warehouse employees and handle any arising situations in the office or the warehouse and assist in the planning and organization of employee events.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and office staff: Ensure the team meets performance, quality, and safety standards.
  • Administration: Oversee and support administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothly.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate and book times for inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring the warehouse runs efficiently.
  • Data Entry & Inventory Support: Accurately enter data into our inventory system and assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
  • Inventory Audits: Support periodic inventory counts and help reconcile discrepancies in stock levels to ensure accuracy.
  • Safety Compliance: Assist in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment by following safety protocols and helping ensure a clean, organized workspace.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly, clear, and professional customer service to CDL drivers, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely and smooth operations.
  • Solutions-oriented: Identify problems and come up with effective solutions quickly. Put together long-term plans and initiatives to accomplish company goals efficiently.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND COMPANY OFFER

Your profile:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in distribution and/or manufacturing.
  • Have excellent analytical skills and developed critical thinking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) an asset.
  • Proven skills in employee management, supply chain management, change management, and continuous improvement.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
