DESCRIPTION

The Operations Manager will be key in delivering the business operational infrastructure and excellence across PFEW Head Quarters and Branches, ensuring efficiency, alignment, and long-term sustainability. Collaborating directly with key stakeholders within Branches, HQ and the Management team, you will support the Operations Director and key in delivering transformational change plan and business operational strategies across PFEW.
This role will be key in inspiring confidence in our Membership: The membership of PFEW expect the efficient use of their subscriptions. This role is pivotal in running an efficient organisation that demonstrates good use of funding and will at times be required to demonstrate that.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Previous experience of working in a business operations team, delivering operational strategies or continuous improvement or transformation plans
  • Excellent project management, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects within an agile environment
  • Proven cross functional collaboration experience with the ability to influence and work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Able to work in an agile, fast paced and changing environment, managing competing priorities
  • Previous experience in the development, design, and implementation of continuous improvements; creating documented processes, workflows and policies
  • Possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Experienced in manipulating data, creating reports and presentations
  • Line management experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS suite
Responsibilities
  • Execute business operational strategic initiatives, and plan and manage multiple operations related projects over cross functional departments
  • Support the Operations Director with day to day operational activities and transformation plan and deputise in their absence
  • Collaborate with the transformational change team and support on operational deliverables
  • Be the main point of contact for Branches regarding operational queries
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvements by supporting internal teams and external partners, taking on varied operational challenges
  • Engaging effectively with both external and internal stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and collaboration, acting as the primary point of contact
  • Work with key stakeholders to gather feedback to create operational improvements to workflows, policies and procedures
  • Drive operational alignment, efficiencies and long-term sustainability across PFEW HQ departments and Branches to ensure that we can deliver for our members
  • Ensure that operational activities are delivered within specified timeframes and budget constraints, by monitoring and managing progress and performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Create reports and presentations for reporting, performance tracking, forecasting and recommendations
  • Manage and develop the Operations Co-ordinator
