EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in operations, technical services, or project delivery within energy, utilities, or industrial systems.
  • Experience in power generation, CHP, or data centre environments is highly desirable.
  • Proven success managing regional/multi-site technical teams in a field-based environment.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Deep technical knowledge of power generation systems (e.g., CHP, gas turbines, rotating equipment).
  • Budget management, resource planning, and project execution skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in CMMS, SAP, or other field operations software.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
  • Advanced qualifications (e.g., MSc, PMP, or energy management certifications) are a plus.
  • Industry certifications in CHP, gas engines, solar, or data centre systems are desirable.
Responsibilities

FULL-TIME | REGIONAL FIELD ROLE

Our client is a market leader in energy solutions, delivering efficient, sustainable power generation projects across Ireland. They are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of 50–100MWe generation assets across the Dublin region and surrounding counties.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving performance, safety, and customer satisfaction across multiple sites. The successful candidate will manage field teams, oversee project delivery, and serve as the main liaison with customers and stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, asset managers, and technicians across multiple sites.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, resource planning, and upskilling of the operations team.
