YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • · Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field of study preferred
    · Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution Warehouse setting preferably in an automated operation
    · Minimum of 5+ years managing, leading, and developing direct reports
    · Automation experience is essential. Preferably shuttle systems.
    · Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
    · Proficient understanding and utilization of WMS systems, preferably Blue Yonder
    · Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
    · Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    · Ability to work independently and as member of a team
    · Ability to make critical decisions under pressure
    · Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

The Operations Manager, Production and Planning, is accountable for maximizing the execution of daily operations and developing wave plans to ensure maximum output, efficiency, profitability and maintain customer satisfaction. They are responsible for determining the resources needed to achieve the highest levels of service, contributing to critical business decisions related to staffing, demand load strategies, inventory control and meet productivity goals.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design and communicate production plans based on inbound and outbound demand, ensuring efficient allocation of equipment, materials, and staff to meet productivity goals.
· Manage potential issues by examining build schedules, shortage reports, on-hand inventory reports, and supplier delivery information, proactively addressing supply chain challenges.
· Develop communication relationships with Inbound, Outbound, Automation Support, and clients to manage supply and demand effectively.
· Overseeing the Control Tower to ensure all aspects of the operation are running to the expected standards including the automation primed areas.
· Provide operations with all relevant information to successfully complete their jobs
· Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency customer inquiries to ensure that client needs are met promptly.
· Investigate the root cause of critical shortages, operational delays, and initiate corrective actions to ensure work progresses on schedule.
· Develop and manage the planning team to be focused on department goals and corporate goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
· Keep internal departments and customers informed about shipping details, material changes, schedule modifications, and any other relevant information.
· Troubleshoot operational flow challenges in both systems and processes, removing and or escalating any roadblocks to ensure smooth operations.
· Achieve annual inventory targets in all categories, working closely with leadership to achieve company Key Performance Indicators and initiatives
· Display capability and urgency in addressing expedited requirements and reprioritization, demonstrating ownership and accountability at the personal level.
· Drive closure on difficult projects with limited support, influence others to take effective steps, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Develop and maintain countermeasures to address root causes for products on backlog, ensuring timely resolution.
· Utilize data and technological resources to develop and maintain department metrics, study results, and identify trends for continuous improvement.
