SOME OF THE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (PROCESSES PERFORMED BY THIS POSITION:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSE), and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong safety culture.
  • Champion facility collaboration to maintain focus, communications and morale within the facility as it relates to overall Proserv business goals and objects. Cascade these down to the local facility teams to build high morale and foster our FRESH culture.
  • Manage and oversee daily operations within the facility, ensuring on-time / right first time delivery of products and services in line with customer commercial agreements, business unit requirements and overall business objectives putting Safety and Quality first.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process contributing through full collaboration with Sales, Business Units and local capabilities.
  • Proactively manage the facility team to deliver Manufacturing and Services work package costs and schedules executed through the facility at optimum productive levels.
  • Lead facility and operational budget management, ensuring cost control, efficiency, and optimisation of overhead expenses.
  • Drive manufacturing and service excellence by implementing standardised processes, improving productivity, and ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Monitor and analyse facility performance metrics, including production output, resource utilisation, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure full accountability for all technician resources within the facility, regardless of business unit, ensuring their utilisation, efficiency, and deployment align with operational needs.
  • Oversee workforce planning, including technician scheduling, training, and development, ensuring competencies, skills and capabilities match business demands.
  • Optimise facility resources, including workforce planning, equipment utilisation, and material flow, to drive operational efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, driving LEAN execution and efficiency enhancements within the facility.
  • Act as the focal point for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) within the facility, ensuring accurate backlog, forecast, and capacity planning.
  • Oversee facility management activities, including lease negotiations, maintenance planning, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions, locations, and business units, fostering a culture of teamwork and driving decision-making that prioritizes the best interests of Proserv as a whole

EDUCATION

Essential

  • Higher education (HND+) in a management, technical, or other related subject

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in a management or technical subject
  • Management qualification

EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Proven track record in the delivery of high specification industrial manufacturing
  • Excellence in organizational and people management across multiple skillsets and experience
  • Practitioner of continual improvement and efficiency e.g. Lean Six Sigma

Preferred

  • Operational facility management
  • Energy sector experience
