ENTRY-LEVEL WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER – RETURNS CENTER

Location: Kannapolis, NC
Department: Warehouse Operations – Returns
Reports To: Senior Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-Time | Entry-Level

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Operations Manager (Entry-Level) to support daily operations in our returns processing center. This role focuses on optimizing workflows for returned goods, coordinating small-scale improvement projects, and ensuring smooth execution of key return-related functions. While the position has no direct reports, it requires strong collaboration with warehouse processing partner staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience desired
  • Spanish speaking
  • 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (internship, associate, or project-based work acceptable).
  • Familiarity with returns handling, inventory processes, or WMS platforms is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in fast-paced or high-volume environments.
  • Clear and effective communicator, capable of working across teams without direct authority.
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Experience with training &/or quality audits is a bonus.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily coordination of warehouse returns processes, including item intake, inspection, sorting, disposition, and fulfillment.
  • Lead and execute small operational improvement projects, such as updating SOPs, creating training materials, collaborating & facilitating process changes, or reorganizing work areas to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor returned item flow and identify bottlenecks, delays, or inventory discrepancies; propose and work with processing partner with corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandising & Customer Service to resolve issues.
  • Track and report key returns metrics (e.g., processing units, priorities, fulfillment time
  • Ensure all returns activities follow company policies, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Support training of new associates on standard returns processes and system workflows as needed.
