Sacramento, CA (possibility for hybrid based on job requirements) SCHEDULE Monday- Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm About the Position… As the Operations Manager, you are responsible for coordinating and optimizing the operational systems that keep Saint John’s running smoothly. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll serve as a cross-departmental resource—documenting processes, improving systems, and implementing initiatives that enhance efficiency and organizational stability. No task is too big or too small, you’ll move seamlessly from high-level project planning to hands-on execution, ensuring that every detail contributes to the organization’s success. You’ll work closely with all departments to maintain accurate records, track performance indicators, and support efficient resource use across departments. You’ll be responsible for… Operational Coordination and Systems Management Maintain and improve operational processes that support efficiency, accountability, and mission alignment. Monitor and document operational systems, including procedures, workflows, checklists, and compliance files, to strengthen consistency and organizational stability. Support the COO in preparing reports, tracking metrics, and implementing operational initiatives. Implement change initiatives at exceptional adoption rates by educating and supporting departments through transitions to new systems or processes. Facilities and Resource Administration Oversee project-based facility improvement projects, ranging in scale, ensuring quality, safety, and alignment with organizational needs. Support a culture of wellness, safety, and functionality across administrative and program buildings. Maintain inventory systems for supplies and equipment; recommend improvements to resource management practices. Coordinate light administrative building management tasks, including vendor scheduling, workspace organization, and basic operational upkeep. Data, Process, and Compliance Support Work closely with the Data and Compliance Specialist to identify, build, collect, and analyze data on operational performance indicators, supporting data-driven decision-making. Ensure adherence to organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Document and communicate operational updates and process improvements across departments. Cross Departmental Collaboration Serve as a liaison between departments to resolve operational challenges and streamline workflow. Partner with finance, housing, and programming teams to align operational practices with organizational priorities. Participate in planning meetings and contribute to problem-solving and process refinement.
