Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Security to lead and manage security operations for client medical facilities across the state of Texas. The ideal candidate will ensure contract compliance, supervise site leadership teams, and deliver high-quality armed and unarmed security services tailored to healthcare environments and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field — or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of security management experience, with at least 2 years in a healthcare/medical environment.
  • Proven experience managing multisite operations and supervising large teams (50+ employees).
  • Working knowledge of healthcare codes, standards and accreditation requirements (Joint Commission experience preferred).
  • Valid Texas security license/credentials (Level III or IV / PPO or PSB manager license preferred).
  • Excellent communication, clientrelationship and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Availability to travel within Texas and respond to afterhours emergencies as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods during inspections and site visits.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to critical incidents in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daytoday security operations across assigned medical facilities (hospitals, clinics, outpatient centers, research campuses) and ensure efficient deployment of personnel and resources.
  • Act as primary operational liaison between client administration and the security company.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, Texas DSHS, Joint Commission).
  • Recruit, hire, onboard and train supervisory and frontline security staff according to company and client standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure post orders, emergency procedures, and quality standards are implemented and followed.
  • Review incident reports, lead investigations when required, and develop corrective/preventive action plans.
  • Prepare and deliver operational and performance reports to internal leadership and clients.
  • Plan and lead drills, tabletop exercises and emergency response reviews (e.g., infant abduction, workplace violence, active shooter, evacuation).
  • Monitor scheduling, hours, and labor costs to remain within contractual budgets.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback; support succession planning and professional development.
  • Collaborate with HR on disciplinary actions, investigations and ADA/FMLA matters.
  • Serve as a 24/7 escalation point for security emergencies within the assigned portfolio.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, officer performance and client satisfaction.
