This role is key in ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of solar installation projects by managing field operations, coordinating with design, permitting, and installation teams, and implementing systems that streamline scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in electrical or other construction trades.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Direct leadership experience managing internal and field teams of 15+ staff, including training, onboarding, and daily oversight.
  • Proven experience managing field teams, scheduling crews, and overseeing residential or commercial installations.
  • Strong background in project coordination, client interactions, and field workforce management.
  • Experience with logistics and inventory control specifically related to job site operations (not warehouse/plant-based only).
  • Ability to troubleshoot site issues, ensure quality control, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with BC safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/project management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee end-to-end execution of solar installation projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate across design, permitting, and installation teams to streamline scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and support project managers, site supervisors, and field crews to maintain high standards of quality, safety and productivity.
  • Design and implement systems that improve workflows across procurement, logistics, inventory, and fleet. Identify bottlenecks, apply scalable solutions, and drive efficiency.
  • Support project teams in resolving customer service requests and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding for field and project management staff, ensuring proper training and smooth transitions.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring proper storage, tracking, and timely distribution to project sites.
  • Maintain fleet readiness, monitor usage, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate all logistics and shipments to support site operations.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols in compliance with BC regulations and company standards.
  • Establish KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment built on accountability and continuous improvement.
