We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position: Position: Operations Manager/ Shift Supervisor The Operations Manager is responsible for facilitating daily shelter operations. The Schwartz Assessment Shelter is a shelter for men operating 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Clients are referred to the program by the New York City Department of Homeless Services. Must possess good interpersonal skills and basic computer knowledge. Certifications in security required and Fire Safety (F-80) obtained within 3 months of hire. Operations Manager/ Shift Supervisor Principal Responsibilities: Supervise delivery of program services including intake, bed assignments, case management services, distribution of client mail, lockers, meal cards and medication. Ensure optimal customer service is being provided to clients. Ensure recreation activities are occurring. Ensures the facility is adequately staffed at all times. Work with DHS PD to ensure the daily security and safety of the facility. Supervise facility maintenance, cleaning staff and fire safety. Manage community relations and communicate with relevant authorities as needed.
