Eneco UK – part of the Eneco Group in the Netherlands consists of a wind asset portfolio consisting of 5 Scottish onshore projects and 6 solar (rooftop and ground mounted) projects . All solar assets are located in England. There is also an Energy Trading Department based in London and development staff situated across the UK.
Eneco UK strives to excel in the delivery of value based asset management of its renewable assets and the in the supply of energy products to meet our business customer’s needs. Eneco UK operates an accredited ISO55001 asset management system.
Working out of Eneco UK’s Inverness office, the position is one requiring a range of technical, commercial and management skills.
Tasks and Activities shall include:
· Deputising for the Head of Assets (where required) – managing workload and supervising, developing, encouraging and leading colleagues as required
· Working day-to-day with the relevant stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations of assets within the existing portfolio e.g. planning & scheduling works whilst assessing/mitigating both physical and commercial risks
· Preparation, review and delivery of detailed asset management documentation to assess and mitigate foreseen risks to agreed timescales, operate within permitted consent(s) and within budgetary constraints
· Financial control throughout (budgeting, forecasting and works delivery)
· Identify and ensure that adequately trained contractors/staff and resources are in place to ensure optimum performance of operational assets
· Take responsibility for maximising the output at all operational assets to include monitoring of the assets alongside the site supervisors, Technical team and liaising with relevant service providers
· Working to corporate guidance, take responsibility for implementing site safety, security and environmental management
· Liaison with various service providers e.g. OEM production support and service engineer contractors, to ensure the delivery of quality workmanship throughout and to ensure there is provision of data for management reports
· Liaison with all stakeholders e.g. Landowners, communities, service providers etc. to manage Eneco’s interests whilst ensuring mutual respect for all parties
· Participation in and management of on-call out of hours rota for emergency response.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
· The right to work in the UK
· A full car driving license
· A high degree of technical and commercial knowledge of large scale renewable assets with a minimum of five years relevant work experience at a supervisory level
· Highly motivated and have the ability to instil enthusiasm in others
· Capable of working autonomously/independently within frameworks and general policies, whilst contributing to and thriving as part of several teams
· Ability to work over as the occasion arises and travel to operational sites across England with occasional Group headquarters in the Netherlands.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Ideally educated to bachelor level or equivalent experience
· Experience of MV electrical assets
· Relevant management experience, covering commercial, technical and people skills
· Relevant experience in contractor management
· Substantial knowledge of construction industry/engineering best health, safety and environmental practice and the ability to ensure contractors embrace and apply these principals
· An understanding of maximising yield and reducing losses from renewable energy assets
· An understanding of physical asset management practices
· Substantial knowledge of Solar site rule/safety culture the ability to ensure contractors embrace and apply these principals
· The ability to communicate knowledgably and effectively in a variety of forums and circumstances to a variety of stakeholders
· Good IT and communication skills
