OVERVIEW

We are a food wholesale cash and carry seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our organisational processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of service delivery and operational excellence within our organisation.

Operations Managerresponsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization’s day-to-day activities, develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction, while also managing budgets, supply chains, and performance through data analysis. Strong leadership, analytical skills are essential for success in this vital role. Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen: Understanding market trends, pricing strategies, and sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills: Ability to build relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to track sales performance, inventory levels, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Retail experience: Understanding the wholesale and retail environment and customer needs.
  • Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in an operations management role or similar position within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of operational procedures, quality control, and performance management principles.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics; experience with relevant software tools is advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.
