  • Experience in resource planning, budget management, and performance reporting.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Transport Management (Passenger Transport) – desirable.
  • Flexible and resilient approach with the ability to respond calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to take the lead in managing and coordinating the day-to-day delivery of our passenger transport services. This is a key leadership position within our business, responsible for ensuring service reliability, legal compliance, staff performance, and operational efficiency across our fleet and network.
This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a solid background in passenger transport, and a passion for delivering high-quality, customer-focused services in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all operational activities to ensure services run on time, safely, and to the highest standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of supervisors, drivers, and support staff, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement operational plans that support the company’s strategic goals and deliver cost-effective outcomes.
  • Monitor and manage operational KPIs including punctuality, vehicle availability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, including DVSA regulations, PSV licensing, driver hours, and health & safety protocols.
  • Work closely with engineering, compliance, HR, and commercial teams to align operational delivery with wider business priorities.
  • Manage shift coverage, resource planning, and incident response to minimise disruption to services.
  • Drive performance through data analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Represent the company at stakeholder meetings and liaise with clients, local authorities, and industry partners when required.
