We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to oversee and optimise all aspects of receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations at our Sydney facility. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong organisational skills and the ability to ensure operational excellence while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Your day to day will include:

Operational Oversight:

• Lead all receiving, storage, maintenance, and dispatch operations.
• Develop and enforce company policies and procedures to achieve desired operational outcomes.
• Ensure service levels and operational processes meet company standards.

Inventory Management:

• Ensure accurate and efficient management of goods entering and leaving the Sydney facility.
• Maintain proper inventory controls in compliance with company policies.
• Schedule and manage agency staff for tasks such as container unloading, labeling, and other resource-intensive operations.

Customer Support:

• Address and resolve customers' urgent requirements effectively.
• Ensure all customer needs are met through accurate communication and execution of processes.

Vendor Compliance:

• Oversee incoming goods inspection and ensure all items are checked, recorded, and documented promptly in accordance with company standards.

Staff Management and Development:

• Enhance staff performance through coaching, counselling, and disciplinary measures as needed.
• Promote a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Site Security and Maintenance:

• Maintain a safe, secure, and clean facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Uphold policies, procedures, and communication to ensure equipment and offices are properly maintained and secure.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in logistics, warehousing, or operations management, in a cold food-related industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
