About the role - Mō te tūranga This is a practical leadership role where you’ll balance people management with being out on the floor when needed. You’ll oversee all inbound and outbound freight, drive team performance, and deliver strong results. You’ll focus on safety, productivity, customer service, and accurate reporting while ensuring resources are used effectively. Key Responsibilities: Manage operations to ensure efficient freight flow for our customers. Day to day and strategic planning of people Lead, motivate and manage a team. Provide accurate and timely operational reporting. Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and legislation. Meet and maintain financial/operational KPIs. What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga? You’re a proven people leader with a strong background in freight, transport, or warehousing. You thrive in fast-paced environments, make confident decisions, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves when required. Additionally, you will have: 5+ years in freight operations, including 2+ years in management F and D&G endorsements A positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
