Salary: Circa £38,000 plus £6,000 Car Allowance or Company Car
Permanent, Full Time
Location: Head Office - Gildersome, Morley, with travel throughout the North of England

Responsibilities

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

The Operations Manager is an office based role accountable for leading a field based team to deliver excellent customer service to vending customers served from the regional depot.

There are 3 main elements to the role:

  • Operational execution for vending fulfilment for approximately 800 vending machines
  • Recruiting, leading & performance managing a team of approximately 20 which is made up of supervisors, Route Reliefs and operators in line with company operating standards.
  • Working with the Area Sales Manager to maximise customer service & customer retention to maximise sales and margin from vending operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, measure, manage and report on all operational issues, opportunities and

development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.

  • Effectively manage a team of Operators/Route Reliefs through effective performance management against KPI’s and behavioural competencies and ongoing development plans, through regular 1:1’s and annual performance reviews.
  • Continually monitoring and maintaining maximum efficiency of routes within the region against business agreed fill levels.
  • Analyse vehicle tracking data to identify the fulfilment of operator/route relief contractual hours, for operator contractual hours and make changes to routes where necessary.
  • Utilise tracking data to manage efficiencies within your region.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
  • Support all functions within the Depot where required.
  • Lead on all Depot H&S related activities and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance of all mandatory E Learning training requirements.
  • Support the Group strategy for onboarding, recruitment and selection, induction and training and development.
  • Manage the operations staff to ensure machines are kept to the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness, all machines are kept to a level to optimise sales, and schedules are adhered to.
  • With the aid of reports, identify any machines that have had more than 3 service calls in the previous calendar month and act accordingly, in conjunction with the Regional Technical Lead.
  • Liaise with Service Desk to ensure that operational calls are being prioritised and cleared in correct sequence as the business requires.
  • Through regular scheduled meetings with the Regional Technical Lead and Regional BDM, to ensure all aspects of the regional machine portfolio are performing efficiently and opportunities and priorities explored.
