Description

OPERATIONS MANAGER (BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT)

We’re TonyG – a creative production house working at the intersection of design, craft, and delivery. From immersive brand environments to luxury retail displays, we bring ideas to life for clients who expect the extraordinary. Based in South Warwickshire, we design, make, and install everything under one roof - with a growing team of thinkers, doers, makers, and problem-solvers.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As we scale and systemise, we’re looking for an Operations Manager - but not in the traditional sense. This role fuses strategic thinking with operational backbone. It’s about building the structure behind our creativity, and turning ideas into well-oiled action.
You’ll be the anchor for all things infrastructure, systems, and support. From Health & Safety to IT oversight, from internal policies to process improvements - you’ll be central to how the business works, not just how it looks.
You’ll form a strategic partnership with our new Studio Manager, together bridging projects that go out the door with the culture, systems, and operations that support them behind the scenes.
You’ll need to be a confident self-starter who takes ownership, gets stuck in, and sees things through. And you’ll also need to be a skilled communicator - someone who can work effectively across teams, translate between technical and non-technical colleagues, and make sure everyone has what they need to get things done.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Health & Safety – Lead our H&S culture and compliance across the business. Build systems that protect people, anticipate risks, and champion clarity and accountability. You’ll be responsible for policy, training, and ongoing cultural improvement.
  • Office/Operations – Own the day-to-day running of our premises and facilities. Ensure quality, cleanliness and presentation, coordinate housekeeping and access, and keep infrastructure reliable and efficient.
  • Systems & Processes – Oversee and improve internal systems. From project tracking to business continuity, you’ll ensure structure supports growth.
  • IT Oversight – Support IT and digital systems strategy. Help define tools and platforms that enable scale, maintain cyber and data security, and support prioritisation of tech needs. Liaise with external providers and ensure solutions fit-for-purpose.
  • Policies & Governance – Take charge of operational policies, from sustainability to GDPR. You’ll act as the business’s DPO, lead policy training, and embed practical, live systems that work in a busy creative environment.
  • Team Enablement – Line manage the Operations Support team including IT, Facilities and Storage. Motivate, mentor, and ensure consistent performance.
  • Strategic Projects – Lead and support initiatives that improve how we operate - from rollout of the Baton handover system to optimisation of procurement, communication, and reporting tools.
  • Business Development Support – Monitor grants and funding opportunities for training, tooling, or infrastructure - and help lead applications where relevant.
  • Leadership Collaboration – Work directly with the SLT on strategic planning, operational risk, and insight reporting. You’ll help link ambition to capability.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

We’re rolling out a company-wide strategy built on clarity, capability, and creativity. This role is vital to making it real. You’ll bring structure without losing soul. You’ll make growth possible. And you’ll help ensure our brilliance is backed by structure that never slips.
