As an Operations Manager in Transaction Monitoring, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of Westpac’s financial crime surveillance activities. You’ll oversee teams who review transactions and customer behaviour, helping detect and investigate suspicious activity so risks are identified early and managed well. You’ll focus on keeping operations running smoothly, supporting your leaders, and continuously improving how work gets done. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance people leadership, operational decision-making, and strong collaboration with partners across Risk and Financial Crime. This is a 12-month contract, full-time role based in Sydney, with flexible work arrangements available.   What do I need? To be successful, you’ll bring strong operational leadership capability and practical financial crime experience, including: •    Experience leading and developing managers or large operational teams •    Knowledge of transaction monitoring and financial crime risk, including AML and related obligations •    Confidence managing complex operations and improving processes •    Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to partner across teams and suppliers •    A people-focused leadership style that supports performance, accountability, and continuous improvement   Why join us?
