About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager & National Operations manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Victorian operations, leading a high-performing team while ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and profitably.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Leading and developing warehouse, logistics and operational staff.
· Managing daily warehouse operations including receiving, dispatch, inventory and stock control.
· Ensuring DIFOT and customer service KPIs are achieved.
· Driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Managing warehouse productivity, labour planning and workflow.
· Maintaining high standards of workplace health and safety and compliance.
· Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions.
· Working closely with Procurement, Sales and Supply Chain teams to ensure stock availability.
· Monitoring inventory accuracy and supporting stocktakes.
· Managing transport providers and freight performance.
· Identifying process improvements and implementing best practice across the operation.
· Coaching, mentoring and developing team leaders and warehouse employees.
· Ensuring company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
About You
We're looking for a confident operational leader who enjoys improving processes and building high-performing teams.
You'll ideally bring:
· Previous experience managing a warehouse or distribution operation.
· Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
· Experience within industrial, construction, plumbing, manufacturing or wholesale distribution industries (highly regarded).
· Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
· Demonstrated experience driving operational improvements and efficiencies.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Strong organisational and time management abilities.
· Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
· Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation.
· Current Forklift Licence
