  • Weeks Hardwood Flooring is a family-owned, local company in Greensboro, NC. Started in 1979, we are the leading flooring company in the Triad area. We are based in Guilford County and manage jobs there as well as every surrounding county.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years as a Project Manager/General Manager in construction industry - preferred but not required
  • 2+ years experience in hardwood flooring installation and/or sanding/finishing - preferred but not required
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is certainly not required but highly preferred
  • Very proficient with Quickbooks, scheduling software, and general computer skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to identify problems before they happen and to address them quickly/decisively if they do happen
  • Strong ability to self-manage daily responsibilities
  • Valid drivers license

- $70,000-$100,000 BASED ON EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

  • Our company specializes in residential/commercial flooring installation and refinishing. We work on a healthy of mix of new home construction projects and existing home remodeling projects as well as light commercial projects. We work hand in hand with both General Contractors and individual homeowners on a daily basis.
  • We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated Operations Manager with excellent people skills, a competitive spirit and admirable work ethic. Top management and organizational qualities are a must. You will be directly responsible for the day-to-day field operations of the company. You will spend most of the day in the office and a portion of the day in the field.

TASKS:

  • Managing day-to-day scheduling of all field operations.
  • Direct supervision of field supervisors.
  • Maintaining ultimate responsibility for quality control on each job.
  • Providing outstanding customer service.
  • Creating/managing work orders on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Direct communication with the contractor/customer on a daily basis. This is the most important of all the tasks.
  • Working effectively with management and other employees.
  • Executing operational efficiency strategies.
  • Responsible for hiring/firing of all foreman/field employees.
  • Responsible for training and expanding field crews/foreman
  • Ensuring vehicles and tools are available when needed and operating properly
  • Regular performance reviews and pay reviews for all field crews/foreman
  • Maintaining existing client relationships.
