Woods & Co. Recruitment have partnered with a fast-growing, design-led manufacturing business that produces premium, tech-enabled event products for commercial and corporate clients. We are on the lookout for a hands-on, switched-on Operations Manager to take ownership of end-to-end operations across production, warehouse, scheduling, and project delivery.

This role suits someone with a background in construction, manufacturing, or assembly who also has strong technical and financial capability. You’ll be overseeing builds, improving workflows, managing budgets, and leading a high-performing operations team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations across manufacturing, warehouse, and production
  • Managing build schedules, workflow, and production timelines
  • Ensuring all builds and projects meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Managing budgets, forecasting, cost control, and job costing
  • Working with finance on invoicing, labour allocation, and reporting
  • Implementing processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Overseeing project workflows using systems such as Simpro or similar
  • Driving lean manufacturing, workflow optimisation, and operational efficiency
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Leading and mentoring the operations, warehouse, and production teams

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in senior operations, manufacturing, or construction-focused roles
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product builds
  • Experience with project management systems (Simpro highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated skills in budgeting, cost control, and operational finance
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams
  • Excellent communication with the ability to engage clients and suppliers
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a continuous improvement approach

Highly regarded:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or workflow optimisation
  • Experience in custom-build or tech-enabled manufacturing environments
  • Ability to balance hands-on operational work with strategic oversight
