QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment operations, fund administration, or back-office functions.
  • Familiarity with CMA regulations, securities market infrastructure, and fund accounting.
  • Working knowledge of SWIFT, Bloomberg, or financial reconciliation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end back-office operations including trade settlements, reconciliations, reporting, and documentation. This role ensures the accurate and timely execution of financial transactions and supports regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and settle all investment trades (equities, fixed income, sukuks, funds, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and reconcile daily cash, security positions, and client accounts.
  • Manage corporate actions, dividend processing, and custody instructions.
  • Maintain and update all client onboarding documents including KYC, agreements, and AML files.
  • Coordinate with brokers, custodians, administrators, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or settlement issues.
  • Prepare NAV reports, investor statements, and portfolio summaries as needed.
  • Ensure operational adherence to CMA rules, internal audit controls, and Shariah compliance standards.
  • Support the launch and onboarding of new investment products, funds, or client accounts.
  • Assist in implementing new systems or improving operational workflows to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.
  • Maintain proper archiving and digital documentation of all transactional and operational records.
  • Support business continuity planning (BCP) by ensuring accurate backup of operational data.
