SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience in retail, supermarket, or FMCG operations (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication & people skills. This role may include some public speaking and attendance at public events.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse data and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach with a hands-on mentality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant systems.
  • Knowledge of Korean or East Asian products and culture is a plus.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE – OPERATIONS OFFICER

As an Operations Officer, you will be a core part of our HQ operations team, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our stores across London and the UK. This diverse role places you at the heart of our retail operations, supporting store management, logistics, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of stores, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Work closely with store managers to maintain high operational standards and improve performance.
  • Support inventory management, ensuring stock levels are maintained and aligned with demand.
  • Monitor and enhance store procedures, including health & safety, food & hygiene, security, and customer service protocols.
  • Assist in streamlining logistics, including supply chain coordination and store replenishments.
  • Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchase, marketing, HR, and finance, to support business objectives.
  • Conduct interviews for various roles within the company where necessary.
  • Assist in training and mentoring store teams to uphold company standards and best practices.
  • Support store openings, refurbishments, and other expansion projects.
  • Assist in developing & upgrading tech solutions throughout the company.
  • Address operational challenges and provide practical solutions to ensure smooth business functioning.
  • This role requires significant travel to various stores across London and the UK both existing and potential.
