POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Order Desk Associate. The Order Desk assists in the day-to-day operations by taking customer phone calls, emails and processing them into orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answers customer calls.
  • Inputs orders into database.
  • Generates quotations.
  • Informing customers of receipt, prices, shipping dates, and delays.
  • Checking inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
  • adjust inventory records to reflect product movement.
  • Provides excellent customer service by resolving customer inquiries or complaints.
  • Reports material shortages and material requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Greater than one year but up to three years experience in a similar role.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Client service experience.
  • Knowledge of building materials or the construction industry an asset.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting or standing frequently throughout the day.
  • Dust and noise.
